Welcome to Rivers and Feathers
“Rivers and Feathers is a Free online magazine dedicated to Anything Fly Fishing!” Open our fly box of stories, and you will
find tales about “Anything Fly Fishing.” But let’s explore a bit more. Fishermen, by nature, are often talented storytellers. You’ve no doubt heard the term “whopper,” which relates to both a large fish and a whale-of-a-tale.
Rivers and Feathers, a Free online magazine dedicated to fly fishing, has attracted some of the country’s best piscatorial pens to our writers’ pool. These committed anglers are eager to share their fly fishing experiences. While their stories are technically considered non-fiction, like any good fishing tale, some may still include a genuine whopper or two.
Wherever there’s fresh or saltwater teeming with feisty fish, you’ll find a short story on Rivers & Feathers. From kayaking in the Everglades for gator seatrout to spey casting in Ireland for Atlantic salmon, there’s a steady stream of entertaining and informative articles to inspire your next adventure. If it’s not featured now, keep an eye out. We add new content every week! Consider sending in your own story! Along with short stories, Rivers and Feathers features many other components, including Product Reviews and Outdoor News. Under the Resources tab, you can find some of our favorite podcasts, links, videos, and a copy of our latest newsletter. Join us as we delve into the world of fly fishing, one short story at a time.
Whether you’re an experienced enthusiast of this wonderful pastime or considering taking the plunge, you need to connect with Rivers & Feathers online. Oh, and did we mention, it’s FREE!
“The solution to any problem -work, love, money, whatever- is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be.” – John Gierach
